Hi Friends,
Today is New Year evening; actually it is night when I started writing. Wish you all Happy and prosperous New Year.
Today I started reading autobiography of Mahatma Gandhi. I am neither his fan nor follower. Still he has very important place in Indian history so I always wanted to read this book since I was in 7th grade. That dream manifested finally when I am 25. It took long time but I have explanation, as I don’t like policies of Gandhiji so, universe didn’t helped me to get book quickly. Finally my urge of reading this book met to universal frequency just 2 days before.
I mentioned this book because I really like one thing mentioned by Gandhiji. He explained that he was very shy person and before he was very ashamed of it but when he realized importance of silence he also realized that his shy nature saved him from making many mistakes.
I am neither shy nor can be silent at all. I am the person who immediately reacts on unlikely things but unknowingly I am practicing silence since last 20 days and I found that it saved me from certain things.
I have lots of things to talk but still I want to keep silence until I don’t settle down with the feelings. If you don’t know or when you are not sure that what you are feeling is right, till that moment keep silence.
We all know “Think before you speak.” I will say think 10 times before you speak. Practising silence is my new year’s resolution. Because I understood the importance of silence. Nobody in this world cares what you are speaking and what you think. Then why to waste energy???
When nobody cares than whom to explain??? So understand importance of your thoughts in someone’s life specially whom you want tell, than only waste or invest your energy otherwise there is no need of speaking.
Reacting or speaking is not a solution. Sometimes it makes situation worse. To stay out of hell choose silence. Use your words when that makes difference or with the proper understanding of what you are speaking.
Love and Light,
Dimple
